The Herndon Radio Emergency Action Teams (REACT), Inc., is an

organization of public minded citizens interested in providing

communications services in Northern Virginia to individuals, government,

and community organizations sponsoring public events and celebrations.

Herndon REACT Team's goal is to prevent injuries, save lives and give

assistance wherever or whenever needed. Membership is open to the public

including radio amateurs. No equipment or licenses are required. Herndon

REACT maintains two UHF General Mobile Radio System (GMRS) repeaters,

one in Reston and the other at Tysons Corner, and a mobile repeater.

GMRS handheld transceivers are provided to Team members as required.
